In case we haven’t met before, I’m Lesley and I’m an art psychotherapist, coach, artist, and the host of 'A New Pace' Podcast.
Being a women in my late 40s, without children I know what walking a different path feels like.
I know what all this brain fog and perimenopause / menopause stuff is all about, especially after having a hysterectomy two years ago due to fibroids.
I created Beyond the Fog by drawing on personal and professional experience, knowing the profound benefits of art for improved wellbeing.
I intend to show up fully and hold a space that recognises each individual and the group as a whole and I can't wait to get creative with you.

BEYOND THE FOG?
No art experience is needed and you don't need to have any technical skills. You are encouraged to create whatever you like to express yourself and this could be visual art like drawing painting or model making, crafts, poetry or even expand your creativity through things like baking, gardening or fashion.
You may wish to use these 6 weeks to fully prioritise art making to create many pieces in between sessions as a 'project' or you may wish to keep it within the sessions.
In terms of equipment, you can start with basic art materials if this is all you have or you may wish to invest in a wider range such as paints, acrylic or watercolours are good for getting started, oil pastels, chalks, pens crayons. If you are writing or making crafts or want to focus on a different thing then choose your materials accordingly.
We will be using 'Zoom' for the online sessions and this is linked to my website.
This programme is designed to be for a small group of women with the aim for lots of direct support and interaction. Each week I will introduce a theme and everyone will be encouraged to use this as a starting point for self reflection and creativity. Themes are lose and not fixed and I intend to adapt sessions and my therapeutic approach depending on how many people are in the group and how involved they want to get.

I strive to do everything I can to make this programme helpful and accessible for everyone who joins, it might not feel right for everyone and so I am happy to provide a refund on a sessional pro-rata basis if the programme has already started.
This is designed for a small group of women to come together as a group with an aim for optimal support. If the number of sign ups makes the group feel too big then I will either have some breakout rooms during the zoom calls or consider splitting into smaller groups.
If the number of sign ups feels too small to go ahead with the group sessions it may not be viable to go ahead in this way so could be adapted to more of a 1-1 offer.
I will send an email with the creative prompts each week and his is also on the course area.
For the check in there will be a number of questions to keep you accountable if you have set any goals and help you access support and guidance between sessions. If completing a form does not feel helpful I can check with you via Whatsapp or messenger or even a quick call.
I will send a message to ask when you are available and then we can book the session for a time that works for both of us.
The idea of the initial 1-1 is to help you to set some goals for the next 6 weeks and for us to get to know each other and what could be helpful or unhelpful as well as having space to explore anything you want to talk about privately.
If you have chosen to upgrade to 'pro' what this means is you will be able to have 4 additional 1-1 sessions at any time.
